We've went through this as we said, and gathered an amazing 1,012$US. I can'T believe how much of a surprise it came for us all.

Bonjour a tous! (English version just under)
Ce vendredi, 20 mars dès Midi, Simon et moi-même (Benoit) allons commencer notre marathon. Le but: Passer au travers de 7 jeux live sur webcam en discutant avec tout le monde par le chat room.
La bonne cause? Amasser des fonds pour Child's play! En effet, une petite boite existe déjà sur ce blog ( a droite de ce message en fait ) et sera aussi à côté de la vidéo. Child's Play est une organisation créer par des joueurs comme nous qui amasse de l'argent pour offrir des livres, jeux ou autres trucs du genre aux enfants qui sont dans les hopitaux un peu partout! C'est une superbe cause et on espère que le marathon encouragera quelque personnes à nous supporter un peu. Toutes les informations sur child's play se retrouve sur le lien, incluant les explications! Dans le pire des cas nous seront, comme dit précédemment, live sur le chat pour répondre a toutes les questions possiblement imaginable!
Pour ceux qui se demande, Resident Evil est une série de jeux sur la thématique survie/horreur (pas d'inquiétude a avoir c'est pas si effrayant a regarder)!

The previous french message was simply explaining to french-speaking people who pass here (wich will be alot) what this is all about, what is child's play and all that. So here is a resume since it's already explained in english a few post back:
This friday starting a 12, we will be passing through 7 Resident Evil games for the benifit of Child's Play charity, a foundation made by gamers all around to gather funds for children in hospitals to buy games, book and whatsnot.

It'll be a pleasure to play for ya all!

One week to go...
Well, the day is nearly upon us. As Shadow said, we have decided to delay the marathon to March 20th in order to ensure that we'll have Resident Evil 5 ready and waiting for us to play.
The ChipIn widget is up and operating, which means that donations are being accepted right now and until the end of the marathon! To donate, simply click the "ChipIn!" button in the widget in the upper-right corner of this blog.
Referral links should also be up shortly, and I encourage anyone reading this to digg, reddit, etc. all they can: we'll need as much advertising as we can get to have people watching this and making donations.

Date update! Marathon to be the 20th
After consideration, we have decided to move the event to friday the 20th. The release date of Resident Evil 5 being a friday, we would be at risk of not being able to have a copy for the week-end of the 13.

The Resident Evil Live Marathon - Coming Friday the 13th of March, 2009
This is a placeholder post to let anyone who stumbles here know that we will host a LIVE Resident Evil Marathon starting at 12:00 PM EST on Friday, March 13th 2009. That's right, on the very day that Resident Evil 5 gets released and through the week-end, we (that's me, SimBen, roommates and college friends) will be broadcasting ourselves playing through the following Resident Evil games, all the way through in a single session:
-Resident Evil Zero
-Resident Evil (GameCube remake)
-Resident Evil 2
-Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
-Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X
-Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
-Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
-Resident Evil: Degeneration (yes, we will take a break at this point and watch the movie)
-Resident Evil 5, playing it for the first time ever LIVE for the Internet!
All through the marathon, we will have a donation link up for people to donate. All proceeds will go to Child's Play. We still have a lot of work ahead of us to make this event into a reality, but we're all really looking forward to doing this.
